Initial Layouts

I began designing the website by picking colours that would represent the different categories on a map. I wasn't sure how to create the map to make it easy to use.

I wanted to include a key which shows the first things you would want to know about a location before you want to find out further information.
The key information I think is important is

• Food facilities
• Car park
• Public Transport
• Indoor Shelter (incase of rain)
• Toilets 
• Disabled Access

I decided the clearest map and most easy to use is the google map, I showed the general northeast area on the map and created my symbols for the key. I am trying to keep consistent with colours for the logo and categories.

My final home page design leaves lots of open space making it look less cluttered and begins by telling the user the first step they need to do making it easy to use for an older audience.
