Research and initial ideas

I began by researching by looking at the song lyrics to determine what the sing is about.

What I got from it was that it was about a man who really loved a women a lot, however he loved her so much that it become to much for the women and it pushed her away. This left that man heartbroken and his love was in vain.

In my initial ideas I decided to do multiple ideas using the colour scheme and fitting with the word damaged and the theme of heartbreak.

within my designs there were a lot of cracks to show damage as well as hearts and faces.

 One design I really liked was  a cracked surface that revealed a heart texture underneath.

In the next steps I will explore my ideas in a digital form.
